When I was young, I could sit at the edge of cliffs overlooking the Pacific. One could see giant kelp beds and the floating mats on the surface for miles around. Then came the sea urchin, in from the south. Over the next few years, I watched the giant kelp vanish.

Save the sea otters. The Japanese can’t eat all the sea urchin by themselves.
