Where I live, our library is a city library, not a county. You have to live within city limits to use the library for free. If you live outside the city limits, you have to pay $75 to use the library! Isn’t that absurd? I could afford the fee, but out of principle, I choose not to. I’ll continue to buy books at Goodwill, yard sales and even pay for new ones.

You can never have too many books.

It will be nice when I can browse through a library again, rather than “curbside pickup” of preselected books.
But I tend to buy books that I could perfectly well borrow from a library anyway.

My dream is to visit my favorite used book store, find that many books that are actually on my list, and have the money to afford them
Guess that’s more of a fantasy

There are shadows for both people, the umbrella, the crab, and the bucket. Why is there no shadow for the huge stack of books?
