One thing I miss here in Florida is outdoor skating. (But I gotta say that “indoor” ice is much better).

Awwww how cute

I have a birdbath in the middle of the back lawn. It was created from a very large terra cotta plant dish sitting on an old ironwork stool. It is moved when the lawn needs mowing. Though I live in California there are times when it freezes over. I take a kettle of boiling water and a little tack hammer to break through the ice, then refill it. So far this year I’ve had to de-ice it twice. In addition to the birds, we have bees and wasps that drink from it, as do squirrels. Then there’s the black cat that thinks our yard is the perfect spa! Big birds, like bluejays and crows, can splash away half of the water in no time. My computer/TV/crafts room has a wall of windows which affords me a perfect view of our guests :-)

So far this winter here in the Netherlands we haven’t had any real Winter, maybe it will surprise us & freeze over in April!!! I doubt the birds will find it so inviting then!!!

Lovely! This is priceless. I love the little birdies having fun. It is so CUTE!

This might be my all time favorite Half Full.
