Back in the late ’70s, I worked with a guy who had a watch that would sound an alarm at 9:55, 11:55, 2.55, and 4:55 to remind him that he had five minutes to go before his breaks, lunch, and the end of the day. You could not engage him during any of those five minute arcs because it ran the risk of spilling over into his personal time.
