Kristallnacht "Night of the broken glass" Vienna, Austria November 9,10 1938 Man: The Nazis had ordered that Jewish businesses and synagogues be destroyed and Jewish citizens arrested...my father was on of many sent to Dachau. Through the haze of smoke in Vienna, I say my father's jewelry shop...it's window smashed, the wares plundered....
