I should send this to my daughter Amy. She is an only child and used to tell me that she wished we had a bigger family but after staying in a suite style dorm at FSU I think she got a taste of what Kat is enduring and has not mentioned that wish for awhile. Amy is in a suite style dorm so 4 girls share one bathroom. I tell her it is better than the dark ages of the ’80s when a lot of the dorms were the standard ones where you had about 15 to 16 double rooms per floor with a bathroom which had about 8 toilets, sinks and shower stalls if I remember correctly. It could get to be a real mess over the weekend as the bathroom was only cleaned from Monday to Friday; lot of rubbish, occasionally a drunk guy passed out on a toilet and other nasty stuff. I was quite happy to get into the upperclassmen apartments in my junior year where 4 dudes shared what was a small 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment; you just had to make sure got along with your 3 “cellmates”.
I’m new to this comic, please excuse my ignorance. Why are all these people sharing the same bathroom? It seems to be a step-family situation, but I’m not sure. That one kid looks like Dean, but I don’t think he’s part of the same family, so maybe it isn’t him. Just curious.

So it might be that that is the only bathroom on their floor and they all have to share it, or Dean lives just a room away.

Previous storyline – Kat needs glasses. Current storyline – Kat needs more sleep. A bit harder to get a prescription for that.
