Why do EVs generate more anxiety? The cost part….well that’s just until they get subsidies like combustion engine cars- you know that dirty dirty Socialism that Henry deplores. Range will improve over time. The US refuses to invest in infrastructure so the manufacturers will have to improve range. Less towing? Sure. That will be real for the small % of the population that does that. Which to Henry is now 60% and growing by the minute as he adds more straw to the man.
I remember when mandating catalytic converters totally destroyed American car manufacturing, just like the car companies and Republicans said it would.
Henry believes the Free Market will solve any and all problems. But is totally incapable of coping with any regulation.
Just recently I was looking to replace my pickup. I test drove a Ford and the dealer had a Ford F-150 Lightning EV setting on the lot but never offered it to us. When my wife inquired as to why, the salesperson said they got a bulletin from Ford to hold off on sales because the Lighting was having issues with it spontaneously combusting of its batteries. Guess we are not quite there yet.
So what do we do with all of these natural gas filling stations that Obama made us put in? And what will be the whim of the next Democrat idiot that makes it into the White House? God forbid.
Those who criticize the advancement and promotion of electric vehicles because the infrastructure to charge them isn’t available yet forget (if they ever even understood) that these features and systems will be introduced overt the next few decades so that these concerns won’t be problems any more. Petrol-selling gas stations will be around for those same several decades (and probably longer, as a niche market) to provide essential services to a shrinking clientele. Sorry, but the thrill of stepping on the gas and hearing your engine revving will be replaced by the hum of an electric motor. But we will all be able to breathe easier for it.

I’d love an EV, my electrical is cheap but in winter and reduced capability and the distances I have to drive it makes no sense.

Henry wants to bring back the horse. Organic, easily recycled emissions; 100% renewable fuel.

I’m pro-choice. You chose to buy an EV, then buy an EV. I choose not to buy an EV, they don’t meet my needs.
