The people who read the book tend to cherry pick the parts that fit their desires and skip the many atrocities listed. When they do read those atrocities, they make excuses for it. Plus, people tend to deny the multiple contradictions in the book. Same for the movie producers on all counts.
WRONG DW..the bible has a theme..the Kingdom…seeming contradictions are usually the result of people sticking to the KJ and not reading a modern language translation
Movies based on any book tend to have changes due to artistic licence which is not a good idea to do with the Bible. Re. The warning in the last chapter of the last book.
