No one has even broken into my house nor do I know anyone who has had that happen. I’m 66 and have lived in 13 different states. I do know lots of people who are afraid to leave their house without a gun, though.
In Lakeland, FL January 1, 2016 someone kicked the front door in and started shooting at the homeowner, who grabbed his own gun and shot the fool dead. “Forcing your way into an occupied residence is a bold and foolish decision,” Sheriff Grady Judd said in a news release. “If you are foolish enough to break into someone’s home, you can expect to be shot in Polk County.” The homeowner was never charged with a crime. That’s my thing too. I don’t believe in God and I’m afraid of guns. But I believe in my neighbor, a good man who’s armed and a Christian, and that’s good enough for me. The Bible has some good guidelines and “love thy neighbor” has proven to be sound advice so far.
