“If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?” – Hillel the Elder, leader of the Jewish Supreme Court in the Land of Israel in the early part of the 1st Century CE.
The message is ancient and still applies to us all today. :-D
I loved the story of John Lewis as a young boy living on a farm. They had Chickens that he preached to and gave a nice funeral for them when they died. Most likely for a meal but John Lewis wouldn’t eat any of his parishioners
