The Pastor of the church I attend was going to be a lawyer. He even clerked for the law firm that represented President Clinton and her husband during Whitewater. At the last moment when he told his uncle who happened to be a high-powered attorney the uncle hit the ceiling. He hasn’t looked back.
Too many pastors today look at their position as a job, not a calling. It is great to see one, even a fictional one, that still gets the divine message to tend the sheep.
