It does sound like school! With homeschooling, and having one son who had difficulty with getting distracted, I made cubicles for our school desks. Had to make a little window in each divider so I could monitor each of my sons and pass papers, but it did help him stay focused. I guess that explains the rise of cubicles in today’s offices.

My husband worked in a large room with probably 100 desks - and no dividers - about 20 years ago.
