He’s thinking ahead! I’d do something similar when our kids were babies, and we were eating where there was a buffet line. I’d let him go through the line first, while I held our baby. Then, after he got back with his plate, he had to take care of the baby and eat at the same time. (Not so bad if we had a high chair to use, but churches don’t usually have them in the Fellowship Halls.)
