My cat liked to chase squirrels. He would get within inches of the squirrel’s tail and back off. Sometimes he would run up the tree after the squirrel, then turn around and go down head first. Unusual for a cat, but he was an unusual cat.
We had squirrel up here when we emigrated. Then one day three of the cats got out, Odinsdottir and the Dirty Pair, and before dark we had a greatly reduced number of squirrels. They got out again a few more times before we put in the catio. Squirrels and jay birds are not a problem here. Or at least greatly reduced.
