I don’t understand, why wouldn’t Ow want Gabby to cuddle him? He likes being cuddled and they’ve been shown to be friends in the past, is Ow afraid Gabby will give him fleas? XD

Um, Bea…I really hate to be “that guy” but I think I should tell you before anyone else. In the third to last panel Ow’s eye patch should be on the other side since it is his reflection. It’s an easy mistake, and still an amazing Sunday strip. :)

Ah, love this. Got to see it in color on Patreon back on July 15. The color really sets of the space view well.

This actually brings up a good point. I was in a grocery store recently and this little girl was in a basket, you know the type with the seat, screaming her head off and her mom was almost at wits end. I looked and then said, “Turn the basket around, she wants to see where she is going?” I thought mom would blow up at me but after her initial shock, she turned the cart around the kid started pointing, giggling, and all was well in space.

I was wondering what that little scene was in Bea’s Twitter feed. Now it makes sense, kind of.

Star Blazers was the first anime I ever watched, back in the 80’s when I was a kid. I’ve been fond of Leiji Matsumoto’s character stylings ever since, so seeing Ellie as Starsha and Ow as Captain Harlock is quite a treat! :D Is Gabby referencing a specific character too?

I like the title where its Charlene hugging Roy with gabby and macheala at the side
