My sister, my young son, and I were fishing on the boat dock, right next to the sign that said “No Fishing This Side of Dock.” (The side enclosing the Marina).
When my sister started complaining about the lack of fish, and asking why we couldn’t fish on the other side, I discreetly lobbed a sardine into the water behind us.
Boy, did she hurry to fish on the “no fishing” side, where the “fish” were “jumping”!
A couple of minutes later, I threw one in the ocean side, and she switched again. This went on for three or four more throws, until my son was laughing so hard that she caught on…ah, good times!
