I was diving at Steps Beach in Puerto Rico the other day and came across an octopus. It kept moving, stopping to change to the color of whatever it was on. After a while, it just stayed in one spot, keeping an eye on me. I swam down to get a closer look and all of a sudden it turned totally white, as if a warning or to scare me. I guess it decided to go to plan 2, since the camouflage wasn’t working.

What do we learn? If your shoelaces have been tied together, keep an eye out for a camouflaged octopus.

Octopi are smarter than you would believe. Unknown until now, they even have a sense of humor.

I don’t know, it might be funny when the person falls. Although Maybe it will be tragic. Guess we need a follow-up cartoon.

Not the tentacles of death… maybe the tentacles of a skinned knee!?

OK. I see nothing funny here about camouflage. Has the colorist messed up?
