Obama’s approval ratings are low because people don’t think he is doing a good job at remedying the problems that face the country. Bush’s were low because he caused those problems.
How True! Just imagine, if you can, taking all the money spent in Iraq over these last eight years and using it instead to boost education, alternative energy research, and small business tax breaks. Opps. Too late now.
Bush was definitely a slow starter, but with a great deal of persistence he managed to get his approval rating down into the 20s, the lowest for any president ever.
Again, for all those who keep crying about the cost of the Iraq war…
WE SPEND 10 TIMES AS MUCH ON WELFARE!!!
So unless you’re willing to call for an end to welfare, shut up.
Obama promised that the mess would be fixed quickly. It hasn’t been fixed AT ALL!
You can blame Bush all you want, but if you knew anything, you would know it all started with Clinton.
The tax cuts weren’t for the rich, they were for everyone. History has shown that when taxes go down, tax revenue goes up and vice versa.
The poor and middle class had the biggest tax cuts. The cuts for the rich were less than 2%. If the tax cuts expire, the tax rate for the lowest income groups go up 50%, and only go up 3% for the top income earners. Yet, it’s more important to this current administration to file a lawsuit to keep a state from enforcing laws that the federal gov’t refuses to enforce.
Quit spewing partisan propaganda, and actually do some real research.
(And no, Bush did not do anything to help the situation, but as stated earlier, it was actually started by Clinton)
Oh, you have to go back a lot farther than Clinton to say who started it! Income tax during peace time was brought to you by Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson, and withholding (aka stealing) for Social Security by FDR. You can’t really point your finger at any one administration, and it’s no conspiracy; it’s just human nature to be self-serving. Approval ratings are a farce because it depends whose approval is being counted and why; and the why is always about who’s getting their selfish desires met.
