A sadly very true statement, Jack. The huge increase in lobbyists during the Bush Administration was the fault of Congress, a right-wing Congress, that refused to limit their “free speech” rights, and SCOTUS handed even more power to their bosses, ignoring the rights of REAL PEOPLE! Remember folks, the “document” says “WE the People”, not “Corporations uber alles”.

trout, the SCOTUS didn’t ignore our individual rights, they squashed them by elevating corporate fictions to be superior to ‘we the people’.
