I recognize that I have read this story arc before (not deja vu) My new take is that Paige must have been depressed and feeling like EVERYBODY, including the dog, was having a more adventurous life than she was.
I think Paige has made only a few dozen strips and just keeps recycling them. (Saves a fortune on ink that way.)
