Hurray! The toothsome twosome (Jill & Chelle) are back!
Morons, indeed. Why would ANYONE think Chelle could get her hands on that much cash in a wide spot in the road like this town? The bank, if there is one, probably has NEVER had more than a few hundred thousand in cash in its vault.
If it is a ploy to trap Chelle, knowing she will come to save Jill, they are something lamer than moron (potato, maybe?)
Good morning JW fans. Since there is no area code it must be a local number. Chelle should be able to identify the owner. Unless it’s a throw a way number. The phone number is a valid number in several cities and states.
Could be a burn phone number — with the usual caveat about the 555 exchange use for fictional purposes in North America, however. Note that 555-1212 is still in use.
555 prefix? Do you know all 555 prefixes go to the information desk? (555-1212 desk). That’s why all the soap opera and other numbers on TV give out a 555 number. I’ve heard operators get calls from people trying to reach TV characters, sometimes things like “tell Victor that someone is hiding behind the door”

Reminds me of Dr. Evil’s ransom in Austin Powers.

The arcs are proceeding with excruciating and tantalizing slowness.
