Well, since she thought she was sleeping with a guy, I’d say she’s straight. But since she was sleeping with Ted, and still didn’t realize it was a girl, I’d also say she’s quite inhibited.
As for the fascination with trucks, short hair, and plaid shirts, I know plenty of straight girls like that. They’re called “Tomboys”. Add in a love for horses, and they’re called “cowgirls” – my sister is one of them.
Then again, maybe Virginia and Bobbie will just throw Ted out of the picture altogether, and hook up with each other. But even if they don’t hook up, getting rid of Ted would definitely be a good move for both of them.
