Another flash mob sparks outrage....
Kids today, Huh?
They have contempt for authority.
They disrespect their elders and are tyrants to their teachers.
you said it, Dada.
Actually socrates said it 2,500 years ago.
That’s the problem with kids. They always have to be worse than their parents were. Which means that each generation is worse than the previous one. Newsflash: there’s not much more worse you can get anymore!
“Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders, and love chatter in places of exercise. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up their food, and tyrannize their teachers.”
I think there was also one along the lines of “The boys are impious, and the girls have no modesty”, but it might have been someone other than Socrates.
If you do a bit of research, you’ll discover that teenage use of drugs and casual sex is way down. In fact, the crime rate is close to the lowest it’s been in generations.
But most people don’t know that because most “news” channels are in the business of making you afraid. If you know how safe you actually are, you won’t feel the need to watch the news everyday.
I strongly suggest people start laying attention to what’s really happening in the world, not just some shocking story about what a person living thousands of miles away may or may not have done. You’ll discover that things aren’t as bad as cable news is trying to make you think.

Way to go, Robb making this swept-under-the-rug phenomena a topic of a strip.

I thought it was said by Paul Lynde in “Bye-bye Birdie”.

P.S. I LOVE the flash mobs that come together and sing excerpts from Handel’s “Messiah” or other beautiful songs.

Flash mobs allow making trouble on a considerably larger scale than before, not to mention more quickly. Efficiency experts at work?

Most people don’t know it, but Larry Niven predicted flash mobs back in 1973 in the novella FlashCrowd.
