I bet it always feels good for a nurse to see a patient com back healthy and visit, knowing you had a part in making it happen :)

I’m not sure I would go back to hospital for a visit. My mom was in for a short term not 6-months.

When you’re there long enough for them to get to know you and you go back and say hi later, you would not believe how much it makes everything they go through worth it. Please, please go back and say thank you—your presence conveys that message before you even open your mouth. I ran into one doctor from the hospital randomly a year after and he was so stunned. Thrilled. Walking on air, and so excited to go tell his wife.

I was in the hospital for a week, a little over a month ago, and I have gone back twice. Once to see the charge nurse and take her and other nurses some flowers. She was off that day, but I went about a week ago and she was there. I just had to tell her how much she and the staff meant to me while I was in there. We ended up hugging and I am now volunteering there twice a week. They deserve our appreciation and thanks!

One of my husband’s specialists and his staff helped him big-time after the surgeon dropped the ball on follow-up. We gave them a box of Valentine candy. They were appreciative.
