No, it’s not. Communism invariably leads to the most selfish having the most power.Socialism, on the other hand, is everybody having what they need and any extra going to those still in need.Entrepreneurialism (what we have in the USA) leads to the most productive and innovative having the most money — which in turn leads to buying power and bling. Not sure I know what I want, but I haven’t seen it in this country yet.

Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.

Communism: You have two cows. You are forced to give them to the Government, and the Government then gives you an inadequate, but carefully centrally planned, amount of milk.

Fascism: You have two cows. You are forced to give them to the Government, and the Government then sells you some milk at prices that ensure that the Government does well and you don’t.

Capitalism: You have two cows. To heck with the milk market; you sell one and buy a bull.

Nazism: You have two cows. The Government shoots you and takes the cows.

You all left out cooperation. You all buy an equal share in a dairy herd, hire someone to take care of them, get milk at a lower price and avoid government regulations and quotas because they are your cows. Learned this from a Washington state cooperator after the 1976 UN conference in Vancouver. He wasn’t permitted to market his seven-head heard because the dairy combine controlled the market, so he set up a cow co-op.

Best thing about an ant colony is that there’s no lazy ants sitting on their butts watching Oompah eating bon-bons expecting someone else to do the work
