I friended your brother-in-law.
Ruth's husband?
He shouldn't be on Facebook!
King Yolo Ramji is an overthrown despot hiding in Bora Bora!
He keeps inviting me to play "candy city"
Weren’t you paying attention back in 2005 when Crunchy’s estranged sister, Ruth married a homeless guy living on Crunchy’s front steps who turned out to be a deposed King named Rolo Ramji, and they eloped and remain in hiding in Bora Bora? I guess you were busy.
Thanks for the update, Robb. 2005 was a busy year, what with Tommi and Teddy being born (that was fun to re-read). But it wasn’t the year Crunchy’s sister showed up; that was Jan. ‘06. (Unless, of course, it all happened on Sundays which aren’t archived.)
But binge-reading an entire year of Jumpstart brought home to me that there isn’t a funnier, warmer, sweeter comic out there. Thanks for so many years of comics pleasure.
Thank you, pschearer! I totally guessed the year Ruth showed up. Always awkward when a reader knows JS trivia better than I do! I actually enjoy writing and drawing the strip more than reading it, which must sound a bit odd. Again, I appreciate the compliment.
I admire your “gittin’ ’er done” quality, Robb. When I write something, even a particularly admirable (to me) comix comment, I often wallow in it, getting a thought-loop going and repeating it in my mind. Shameful.
