A second Snoog-A-Boo is indeed a frightening and scary thought!!!!!! Unfortunately, the cloning technology lets you get the same genetic dog… but its personality can and will likely be different due to different circumstances. The clone would not be the same in the ways I think most folks would want and love of their pets. It would, IMO still feel like a different dog, not the one you lost and had cloned. And, that is probably a good thing, in reality.

Is that skull and crossbones for Joe’s coffee or the cloning idea?

No need to to clone things with plenty; dogs, cats, sheep, people. Maybe clone to help endangered species or bring back mammoths. Might need saber-tooth tigers to keep down the mastodon herds.
