Surprises are not all that great. Now they probably have conflicting plans and neither can be changed. Personally, I think anticipation and planning together is half the fun!
They need to talk, surprises can be changed.Husband and I celebrated our anniversary and we talked what we wanted, rather I talked to find out what he liked to do as well, he is easy husband, which I do not take advantage of. Then we received 2-anniversary cards one had cash that surprised us, we will use to pay for our meal as we will celebrate on Sunday with sister/husband joining us. We had a nice time. 38 years.
