My 2019 calendar says December will have five Sundays, Mondays, & Tuesdays, but not five Saturdays.

That rumor keeps popping up on the internet on a regular basis but it will never happen look at your calendar on your phone and go back each year you have 5 sat and 5 sun but 4 wedn or 5 wend with 5 sat or 5 sun.

31-28=3 overlap days

It happened in 2018 and will happen again in 2029. Not exactly rare.

Who doesn’t believe everything they read on the internet? (/s)

The calendar repeats every 28 years (7 days in a week times 4 years in a leap year cycle) so it would never happen only once in 823 years…

I only care about 5 Fridays. I’m paid weekly.

This year it is 5 Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

This is the second Jumpstart this week that doesn’t feature an appearance by any member of Joe’s family (unless you count Crunchy as “family”)

I count 4 Saturdays, 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Tuesdays. Sadly most don’t care about Tuesday

2 out of every 7 months with 31 days fit that description and 1 of every 7 months with 30 days. And this December is not one of them.

I’m thinking that the new partner is going to disappear one day as Cranky will roll him into a pretzel and make him the filling for the cone on the truck.

Wrong! December 2019 starts on a Sunday. That means there is only 4 Saturdays, not 5. This is a “fact” that has been floating around the internet since 2018 when it was true. Now it is wrong but people still pass along the “information” without checking its validity. Fake News at its finest.

Hmm. With the story taking a few divergent twists since I have been gone…. I have a few questions, please:

1. Who is this new, young rookie partner that Crunchy has? And, why is Joe not with Crunchy at this time?

2. I seem to recall something about Joe having gained weight due to being on the ice cream truck duty. Is this why he is no longer with Crunchy at this time?

August 2020 will have 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays ad 5 Mondays. It’s a rare occurrence, but not that rare. Mainly, it requires that the 1st fall on a Saturday and the month must have 31 days. It won’t work for any other month with 30 days or less.
