My BIL would chain their garbage cans up in their tree to keep out the bears in their first home (a rental) in the Poconos. Then they had a house built with a garage so no more hanging cans from the trees. Then they just had to make sure the bears wouldn’t walk though their screen doors.
Oh my – I never thought to put a garbage dumpster in my teddy bear figuring village, let alone set one up for two of the to live in. :-) There is a garbage can (though they need more of them).
