Still need to respect a person’s right to privacy/control of their body. Not everyone has to be vaccinated to get herd immunity.

Sure, then Peterson can charge Marcy with assault.

Not the best way to deal with this, Joe.

Since Frank is running the class, don’t you need his permission before consulting Marcy, Joe?

“My body, my choice” for abortion but not “my body, my choice” for vaccines? Maybe I should identify as “pro-choice.”

I think people’s choices should be respected, this strip for today makes it seem otherwise. I mean its funny, yeah, but if people want to get sick, its on them.

As one, who is deathly allergic to PEG, the binding agent used in the “vaccine” [it isn’t a true vaccine, it is a RNA modifying agent]; I would never take the shot even if someone came to my front door and ordered me to get injected. Add to that the incidence of blood clotting, stroke, auto immune reactions etc. now getting more public attention from this mass experiment, and I feel more folks will rue getting the shot than avoiding it.

Inject me when I’m not looking and against my will… and my lawsuit will bankrupt you.

Some people have allergies or other issues with vaccines. Other people are just ignorant. Joe should Not force a vaccine on anyone.

It would be fine for Joe to work with his department to get a public health briefing if he had his supervisor’s approval. It’s totally unethical to suggest vaccinating someone surreptitiously – and totally unbelievable that Marcy would ever consider such a thing.

I find it very revealing that people are reacting so sharply to a joke that is essentially a plea for sanity… not at all an argument for encroachment on the bodily integrity of anyone or any violation of anyone’s rights. It’s as if there’s no real issue here, so let’s pretend that they vaccine Gestapo is knocking down doors and stabbing people with hypodermics in their own homes.

As long as we’re speculating, imagine a modern Typhoid Mary. Imagine she has a highly communicable disease. Imagine her right to privacy forbids anyone to warn others about her health status. She has worked in half a dozen restaurants in town and is in fact a public menace. So, no one can confine her or rat her out as a vector of contagion? Imagine she gets a job as an orderly in a hospital and is coming into a dozen or more patient’s rooms every day. Your room, or your child’s, or your mother’s.

Again, this is all imaginary, at least in the exaggerated scenario proposed here. But something very like this is happening every day to random individuals who cross paths with vaccine refusers who have persisted in meeting in close quarters with other unvaccinated people. A dozen at this church after choir practice fall ill with Covid infection. Or a gathering in a bar, or a crowded political rally. [All three of those scenarios is from real life, and all have happened multiple times.] In the week or two before they become symptomatic, how many people do they infect? How many will suffer death, ravaged lungs, neurological disorders, brain damage… because someone didn’t see the logic of getting vaccinated?

Are the spreaders in any sense morally guilty of endangering the health or even the lives of those they expose in this way? At what point do the right to privacy and the right to refuse medical intervention add up to a right to endanger the lives of others?
