Once you go A.I. you will be asking “Where are the customers?”

AI vending machines would spend all day exchanging sushi.

I’ve experienced a couple machines that could out a drinkable cup of coffee. Had one at a university where I taught years ago… Administration took it out. Most machine ‘coffee’ is swill. But even the drinkable coffee doesn’t compare with hand pulled. Capresso, DeLonghi and other manufacturers of espresso machines will enjoy more business when vending machines take over… Unless average consumers forget what good coffee tastes like.

used to hate the new self-serve at Mcdonald’s until I remembered that some of the dimwits behind the counter don’t want to be there and it took twice as long to order a cheeseburger without pickles

one of my Five Belows got those self checkout registers, but for some reason within a few weeks they shut them all down and now the human run registers are the only ones they use, and it’s been like that for about 2 months

The funniest thing with AI is: It has started to become dumber. The robots have become so active that they started learning from one another and because they’re not fully trained yet, they keep making mistakes. These mistakes are repeated so often that they all consider these mistakes to be acceptable behaviour, meaning they integrate these mistakes into their core program. That is especially evident in AI-generated images and the AI-run facebook channels that only post AI-generated images.

I was at the craft store (starts with an M) and three of the registers have been converted to self serve. I looked at the associate and said that this will be the last time I come into this place. There are people that are in a hurry that like doing it. I do not. All it’s doing is 1. taking jobs away from people, 2. they are going to be loosing big time because people will “conveniently” forget to scan something. The local DG’s have closed all their self check out. Because of theft.

I tell my customers the token machine is AI but we’re friendlier when we sell them at the register
