Pioneer Elementary Sign: Hum hum hum Vero: I don't want to hear any more complaints about the cutbacks in the music program. Now be quiet and bang your hollow log with your stick.
I was in elementary school in the 50’s - I remember musical instruments were a couple of painted sticks (like dowels). Hollow logs can be used to make special effects!
At least they still have a music program♩♪♫♬☺
They can go back to Do-Wop. Here in Boston we’ve got an acapella renaissance. Log on to www.WERS.org on Saturday or Sunday from 2pm-5pm you won’t be disappointed.
Hollow logs and beating sticks are expensive and will probably be the next to go. Have the kids bring a couple of spoons from home and learn to play them.

They could go professional. Play backup for hula dancers & fire jugglers.

Hollow logs? You had hollow logs? We just had those damned sticks! Had to whittle and paint them ourselves! In the snow! Uphill both ways!
