It took 8 years for the ‘publicans to mess us and they complain ‘cause the dems can’t straighten it all out in two years!!!!!!!!!! Bush, I want my job back: Some people are alive only because it’s against the law to kill them!

Yukoneric: I generally don’t bring this up with Republicans as it tends to cause apoplexy, but it’s been 30 years that they’ve been messing the country up.

Bush was a placeholder for the agenda. St. Ronnie Reagan himself was the one who got “tax cuts and deregulation” into the mainstream as a political philosophy. And ever since that philosophy has got America into trouble. From the (de-regulated) S&L scandals of the 80’s to the Reagan tax cuts that he ‘cleverly’ combined with massive deficit spending on a military build-up against a paper-tiger enemy.

You can trace the huge national debt, militarization of US foreign policy, near elimination of the American middle class and dawn of the new ‘Gilded Age’ we live in today right to Reagan’s doorstep.

(Again, try explaining that to a wingnut.)

And now we’re not even allowed to produce our own goods.
