“Star Trek Into Darkness…Zoe Saldana as Uhura”Saldana is Dominican & Puerto Rican, and pretty much of African descent.Ben Afflict & Mark Woeburg playing latinos is as silly as a Swede playing Charlie Chan. At least Johnny Dep doesn’t have blue eyes. I have about as much Indian ancestry as Depp, but I look more like Johnny Rotten than Johnny Depp.

Jay Silverheels, a real Mohawk Indian playing a plains Indian, didn’t do too much to help with racial stereotyping.

“Iron Eyes Cody”—the “Indian” who sheds a tear over man’s befouling of nature (only old timers might remember this TV spot,) was a Sicilian.

Isn’t Zoe Saldana mixed? Her father is Domican and her mother is Puerto Rican. Not all Latinas are white.
As for John Cho—Korean or not, he was not a good choice.
