It ain’t Baldo. Besides if you had to listen to right wingers talk about refugee kids like Nazis talked about Jews in “The Eternal Jew”you are not going to smile.

I still think that “LA CUCARACHA, THE MOVIE!” is best. With an all-Latino cast and a Miss Venezuela as Vero.

Everyone is still ignoring what all those lovable cherubs will cost local communities for housing and schooling. When the Feds step in, they will of course, screw up the effort.

And just think, once we invest in their housing and schooling, they’ll get jobs, pay taxes, and fund the SSA and Medicare our own demographic imbalance won’t.

Because addressing racism must mean smiles! Wheeeee! Here’s a comedian who rarely smiled on screen: Charlie Chaplin. Here’s another: Buster Keaton. Here’s a couple who smiled a lot: Amos and Andy. Here’s another one who did: Stepin Fetchit. Here’s one who, whenever he smiled, white folks got nervous: Richard Pryor. Here’s a giant hit show whose comedy did not come from people smiling: The Office. Here’s another where people actually didn’t smile that much: Everybody Loves Raymond. Here’s a comic strip where just about nobody smiles: Pearls before Swine. Here’s another where it’s rare: Get Fuzzy. Heres another: The Boondocks. I’ll bet you sit around grinning ear to ear when you write your little missives here. But that don’t make you funny, or even happy. And I don’t know if you missed the banner up top, but in the one at the top of my page, Vero is smiling wide.

But I think it’s more that you don’t want this strip to address social and political issues. I totally support your right to not want that. I also disagree with you 100%.

@mdavis4183At least mdavis can be counted on to be utterly consistent, no matter which comic mdavis is posting to. The message can be summed up as this: “Unthinking hate rage hate rage hate hate rage rage hate.”
