Cuco: Did you hear about the guy who ran past rings of secret service and into the White House?? Eddie: Yeah, he's from Texas and his name in Omar Gonzalez. Why does the most successful fence-jumper in history have to be Mexican?
Here we go again-every comic has a pop up ad that is in your face. Got how I hate those ads and the sponsors who inflict them on me-never buy those products. Especially Hyundai cars.
Well, I’m sure the LA Galaxy were relieved to hear it wasn’t their Omar Gonzalez. (And they’re both from Texas!) Though being able to penetrate all the way to the East Room does show he has promise as a striker.
@louieglutz sez: not only was he not mexican
In this case, as is often the case in La Cucaracha, “Mexican” is an ethnic designation, not a national one. Calling oneself “Mexican” is very common for folks of Mexican descent in the US. Just like various Asian Americans calling themselves Korean, or Chinese, or Vietnamese.

Lalo, you’re on a roll! Keep it up! I can picture some of my friends making this comment. The lack of mean spirited politics is appreciated.
