Um… would “Mexodus” be about boarder line crossers?

Somehow I saw that coming…the European actors replacing the native Mexican actors. I wonder if Mexicans replace European actors in their (Mexican) films?… ;)

I always defend you, man, but this is a silly argument. Every bibilical movie has starred whites as jews and romans. It has to do with drawing ability and availability of actors. It’s play acting. It always has been. The complaining about this movie was not heard on The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, The Silver Chalice, The Robe, Kings of Kings, Noah, etc, etc, etc. I think the studio started it to attract more of an audience.

I’ve come to believe that the very abilities, to project a fantasy, of actors make them unreliable as political commentators. How can you tell if they’re serious or following a script? Just a thought, no warranty, expressed or implied, no Trolls were invoked…

Actually, 95% of the actors I’ve heard in in-depth interviews (think Fresh Air) seem to be very intelligent.Rather than just reading lines, most try to get into the head of their characters to determine their thoughts, feelings, and motivations. So they tend to be good seat-of-the pants psychologists. At least the good ones are. I doubt those would adopt a script in real life as if it were their own beliefs.

I would invite folks to simply ignore what indie has to say on these boards any more. Ignore, as in don’t even bother to read. He has proven himself to be incessantly repetitive and argues in bad faith. While he’s free to post to his heart’s delight, we are also free not to listen.
