Sorry I left my hair shirt and flail at home. Get a clue, even today more advanced and powerful nations will take what their population needs. Take a look at the argument in the South China sea with China, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia. Could turn into a major shooting war. It would be nice if more people read their history. But I suppose some just have to gnash and wail even though they had nothing to do with the past.

Sorry, @sueamarlucan, what actually happened was that the Canarsie tribe sold land actually belonging to a different tribe, the Weckquaesgeeks. This is the reverse of the more modern method promoted by Donald Trump, of buying the land from the owner, but getting somebody else to pay for it.

I passed by the garden and marked with one eyeHow the Owl and the Panther were sharing a pie.The Panther got gravy, and pie crust, and meat. The Owl had the dish as his share of the treat.

More with the anti-Asian racism. Nice. And your message basically boils down to, “Good thing we came along to murder you and your family instead of our neighbors doing it. Those folks are horrible.”

And then to basically say that slavery was good for Africans! Seriously, this really takes the cake. Save that sort of filth for Stormfront. Or Donald Trump rallies.

“Slavery sure didn’t hurt their descendants” is the nastiest lie I’ve heard in a long time. As if, in 1865 everything became equal and there was no Jim Crow, no lynchings, no segregation, no voting rights discrimination, no job discrimination. “To live in a land of freedom and opportunity”, right, the freedom to be shot down in the street like rabid dogs.Your cat should be as disgusted with you as I am. Especially when you compare African-Americans unfavorably to Holocsust victims. Two completely different resolutions. This makes zero sense.
