Terrorists would be impotent without their media partners. Terrorists want attention, media wants ratings. So they stroke each other.
The Boston Marathon bombings were horrible, but are they more horrible than the deaths in an average month in Boston through drugs, drinking, car accidents, medical mistakes, vanilla homicides and accidents? Dead is dead. Boston loses, in an average month, 4 people to murder, 16 to heroin overdoses, 25-plus to medical errors, 18 to motor accidents, etc, etc. (Figures are the best I can glean from media reports)
THREE were killed in the Boston Marathon bombing.
People will tolerate any number of deaths if the media do not highlight them. More people are murdered in an average month in Boston than were killed in the bombing. In the 2-1/2 years since the bombing, there have been 152 homicides in Boston. Are the people up in arms? No, because they are not being prodded over it by news outlets using sensationalism to increase ratings/circulation. But if terrorists had managed to kill two Bostonians a month (half the normal murder rate), the people would be demanding all out war be declared in ISIS with the 82d Airborne to be parachuted in this very day to begin the war and B-52 cluster bomb strikes ahead of the invasion to kill every living human in the area who may get in the way.
Humans. Go figure. We invent mathematics then do our very best to ignore the figures. You are nearly 40 times more likely to be killed by a medical screw up by a doctor, pharmacist or hospital than to be killed by a firearm. Nobody talking about banning or even making sure medical personnel are better trained, is there? Hospitals and their staff should be registered as deadly weapons.

We don’t have waiting lists to buy guns, only waiting lists to use them in mass shootings!

When did the Washington Post and the New York Times become non liberal on this planet?
