I’m guessing they realized they couldn’t get enough American citizens to work for the wages the undocumented had to. The only way they could do that would be to collapse the entire… economy… uh-oh.
I guess the long-term plan to replace all those jobs we’ve been losing overseas is to keep hiring more and more soldiers, TSA screeners, FBI agents, and spies to keep the rest of us in line. Pretty soon half of us will be watching the other half for signs of deviance.
To laughing: Uhhhhh, I really don’t think you have a very clear idea of the history of this country. Our country has always had large numbers of immigrants coming in. Heck, even all those places you claim don’t have large numbers of immigrants are positively filled with people who are just a few generations removed from their immigrant ancestors. But maybe you don’t count people from Europe, or Africa, or Europe again when we turned off the slavery spigot?
To joseph: Suuuuure, because that’s already worked so well. Especially since the large majority of people on various forms of welfare are either already working but making so little they have to be subsidized (like McDonald’s employees or Walmart workers or, believe it or not, agricultural field workers) or are unable to work. And if you throw Social Security into the mix, then you’ve got all those people who have already worked for many years and now are trying to spend a few years in retirement. Unless you think 80-year-olds who don’t want to work picking lettuce or dealing with Black Friday stampedes are somehow freeloaders?

Farmers are already feeling the pain, one just had to raise it’s pay to 15/hour to get anyone to apply. 5 buck lettuce is getting closer and closer.

100,000 national guard troops mobilized, but not enough resources to sweep Mar-a-Lago.

GoComics keeps asking me to turn of my ad blocker, but the SIXTEEN OR MORE ads on each page slow down my computer too much. So no.

No all the people on welfare and unemployment will now have those jobs. Or are they too good to do that work?
