If you ever read the book or saw the movie, “The Road” will give an idea of just how terrible it will be. It happened about 70,000 years ago when Mt. Toba exploded in the Indonesian islands. Killed off so many including any humans that had spread from Africa the first time about 100,000 years ago. Estimated only about 6,000 individual in Africa of the original stock survived to start again. Then 20,000 years later the second migration out of Africa happened. It explains why humans are so much closer genetically than previous thought.
Why I am for redefining Yellowstone as an energy generating area. Build the largest Thermal Energy Plant in the world. It could alone furnish all of us with nearly unlimited energy. Not even counting wind and solar which also would produce all the energy we need.
