It always amuses me that Bubba McRedneck – who lives in a single wide, has diabetes, a missing leg, a wheelchair and no health insurance – drinks the Koolaid and is the first to start screaming about socialism and socialized medicine whenever people try to make sure that people have a right to single payer healthcare.
I was born in a country that has health care for all. The idea of America is a truly great thing(!) but guess where I’d prefer to be if I ever had serious health problems?
Let’s all pray that next year the richest country in the world starts taking care of all its citizens, not just the wealthy.
