I work in a middle school, last year we had the 6th grade at an adjacent campus to ease crowding during the pandemic. Where they had little oversight during lunch, and as a result are now an unruly bunch of 7th graders, who now need to learn to act appropriately during lunch period and not like a bunch of wild animals. We have no problems with the 6th and 8th grades, just last year’s crop of little brats! We had paddling back in my day, they seriously need to bring that back. A stinging behind is a great way to keep them focused and acting like proper young adults!
