OMG! My youngest de-friended his soon to be ex just yesterday! Twenty one years down the drain, and she was my favorite D-I-L. House sale closed yesterday and both son and she have bought separate ones. I’ve been so depressed this is my first time to post anything for days, but need the comics to keep from crying.
I’m beginning to think there’s more truth in this one than I’d intended. My daughter saw the comic shortly after I wrote it and said she knew of a couple who split up shortly after one “de-friended” the other on Facebook.

I don’t usually post links to my comic commentaries, but this one seemed especially appropriate…knowing my readers here: http://tinyurl.com/2caaxgo

Don’t stand too close to any windows, you might just get defenestrated.

Wow, a new Word-for-the-Day!
Now all I have to do is use it three times today and it is “mine.”
Wait a minute…this hellhole ain’t got no windows!
What’s the word for throwing someone out of your cubicle?
“Decarrelate”?

I didn’t think young women had that much time on their hands.

reminds me of those facebook posts where someone announces they’re single and the ex chimes in with - since when? 5 seconds ago, hotshot

My condolences as well, Mythreesons.

I thought it was “un-friended”. I’ve learned something.

The Urban Dictionary seems to go with both “unfriend” and “defriend.” Both without the hyphen I inserted.
Frankly, I wasn’t sure if I was making up the word when I used it.

Thanks to all who understood. This is something they/I will get through. But the irony of the timing of the strip really hit home.
