Sorry about you losing your little B-guy. They sure are all different. I love the way you drew him and the other cats. It’s always so hard to lose a pet.People find it odd that when one of my pet rats dies I am so sad, they Really don’t think of rats as individuals, but they are.Pets are so good for us to have. I can’t afford a dog or cat, but patties are sweet, affectionate and smell good. I’ve had very old rats who insisted on sleeping next to me on my pillow toward the end.I have no doubt at all that pets have an afterlife, so you will see Buster again.
awww.. I’m so sorry for your hurt. tears to flush and lubricate the hurt as it nestles into our memory, and hugs to you. Beautiful strip. Thanks for sharing!
Carol, I know the feeling. I recently had to put down my 14 year old Tonka Kitten. She was put into a hole in a wall by her mother, and was near death when I found her. I nursed her back to health (such as it was, she was blind in one eye and had hip problems), but she had a great life, and even though I have 5 others, she’ll always have a special place in my heart.
16 is a long life for a cat. The love you shared was probably why he stayed so long. I’m glad that Buster was so compatible with his feline cohorts. Sharing warmth while sleeping shows affection and trust among cats. Thanks for sharing. I mourn your loss. (((hug)))
At least once into everyone’s life should come an animal that goes so deep in your heart you can’t imagine what you did without him/her. You have truly been blessed. And your animals are blessed to have you and the life you give them. Brava! And [[[hugs]]] all round.
My Bengali is a godsend. Ever since she came into my life, she would see me off on my journeys, and be there to greet me home. Many times she had greeted me with a mouse in her mouth. Best. Hunter. Ever.
Love animals, not so much Cats but I have had a few and yes they get into your heart. I have my own “tribute” stories. Thank you for sharing his life with us.
Here’s my thanks to Gypsy (21), Raisin (17), Needles (21), Abbey (12), Fraidy (16), Peri (16), Wooly Bear (4), and a big honorable mention to LC (1). Thanks for sharing Carol.

Brilliant! I have 6 cats, Busters personality really shines through in the story. It’s hard convincing people they are all different.

Buster lives on, he’s just keeping Noden company while they wait for the rest of the family to join up again in the big litter box in the sky.
