Many years ago (when I actually had a job!), a hurricane was on the way, and a co-worker told her husband to get what they needed to weather out the storm. When she made it home, she found her husband had stocked the fridge with beer… and nothing else.
Tarps of varied size in case get leaks/window’s blown; duct tape; propane camp stove and extra propane; When was your last tetanus-diphtheria shot? if more than 5 yrs ago, get one. Some kind of inner tube float for the cat kennel so you don’t have to carry clawing cat if you get flooded. Hammer/nails. Trashy books, deck of cards for boredom. Takillya, salt and limes when you get tired of being bored.
