yes he traveled to a different universe. I have too. My proof is that several books I read when I was younger have had their endings changed. Of course I don’t have copies of the originals but I know they have changed and because I know this I know that I changed universes at some point in my life.
There is a universe where our missing socks go. The inhabitants keep asking “What the heck are these things? And where did my dust bunny disappear to?”
I have read of people visiting places that when they returned sometimes in a few hours are gone or hadn’t existed or did exist decades ago… That restaurant closed rather abruptly. You never know when you slide into a nearby one. Whatever differences may not ever be noticed. But if it isn’t your body but your essence or “soul” does you can find changes on you body if you notice. And if souls exist then it would interesting to find a way to prove that they do. But using one impossible thing to prove another isn’t a good strategy for proving a thing.
Several years ago a friend’s street apparently fell off the universe. I kept driving past where it was supposed to be but wasn’t. I had a passenger as a witness. We called him and he assured us he was where we were looking. After a few more passes, it was suddenly there, like car keys that have always been on the table.

Multiple Universe theory, where every possible universe exists. Including one where no other universes exist.
