The cat I took care of while living upstairs at my Aunt’s would walk to the trash can and give you his graveling OOOWWWWT. If you ignored him, he’d knock over the trash can. He knew they tossed him out for that. So I let him come and go as he pleased. We became friends, and my Nadia, just a kitten then, fell in love with the big bruiser. Like many outdoor cats though, he didn’t make it into his teens. I had moved on by the time he passed though. Nadia never stopped looking for her Taz though.

I think they should feel COMPLETELY put out.

My cats like being out. Sometimes they like being in. What they really like is a warm, autumn day with the door open all day. :)
