Yep..They can’t look out the window and predict the weather for the next 24 hours, yet they want us to believe what they think will happen in the next 50 years!!!
40 degrees and “mothball those blankets”? Fat chance - I’m a Californian, and 40 degrees is life-threatening! My God, no human being could survive unprotected……
Osiris: My dad grew up on a farm in Akeley, Minnesota, many years ago, and told us of the “30 below” winters - thank God his mother and father moved to California when the Red River Lumber Company did.
This discussion of cold reminds me of the farmer on the Dakota-Saskatchewan border. He’d always thought his home was in Canada, but when they resurveyed the border, he discovered he was actually in the US by 20 feet.
He was utterly delighted! “Praise be: no more of those durn Canadian winters!”

I live in south Louisiana. When the temperature is in the forties, that is considered downright frigid !

I live in Minnesota. 40 degrees in February is a friggin’ heat wave!
Consider that the day after Christmas just this past December we awoke to a temperature of -22 F. The HIGH for the day was a balmy -12F.
